I have my xbox connected using a crossover cable to a network bridge which is functioning properly. When I set my xbox's network settings to automatic I get the error message "No DNS Server addresses were recieved from DHCP". So I change my network settings to Manual and configure it to:
    IP:192.168.1.109
    SUBNET:255.255.255.0
    GATEWAY:192.168.1.1
    PRIMARY DNS:192.168.1.1
    ALTERNATE DNS:68.87.73.242
I get the following error message "The network gateway could not be reached. Verify the IP addresses match the settings provided by your ISP"
    Any suggestions?

I have to assume you are trying to bridge to play halo 2. The most common solution to the problem you are having is Windows firewall. I also assume you are using zone alarm, if you are going ot be using it full-time then it's okay to leave windows firewall off. Be sure to give a little more info into what you have set up, and what are you actually trying to do (except for cheating, it's a sensitive subject around here, and this is not a place to "meet cheaters."
[bold]But[/bold] if you are having technical problems with something, then welcome!

I have turned windows firewall and I am running zone alarm but I have it turned off when I am tying to connect my xbox to xbl. I have a desktop with a linksys wireless g adaptor which I have bridged. I can access the internet on my computer and the bridge is sending and recieving packets. All of my bridge settings were assigned by my DHCP.
