Site update - March 16th 2010

AfterDawn.com has been updated! In addition to renewing the layout of the site we have also speeded up things considerably. The new version has been tested on our Finnish site for several months, and during the testing we have managed to improve the new version even further.

You can now enjoy this new layout at English AfterDawn.com and English Discussion Forums as well! We have also introduced new sections to the site, and re-arranged things a bit.

GranTurismo 4 NTSC/US - How do I activate 1080i or Progressive Scan?

#1 02 Feb 2006 @ 22:56
Lo,

I have the above mentioned version of then game, and according to some sources, I should have a menu option to set the different screen settings with regards to Progressive Scan(480P) or Interlaced HD(1080i).

I can't find this inm any of the game's menus, not on the main screen or in the garage "settings" screen.

Can someone pls let me know how one would go about enabling this?

Thanx.

PS: I don't know how to verify the actual version of the game other than checking the cover. Is there a way to check this in the actual game...? Maybe I have the wrong version after all.

on the few games I've played with these options they have always been in the settings/options part of the main menu, you'll need the 'component video' cables for Progressive scan option.

its in Option do this on the main page go down 3 times press X then go right 2 times press X then go down 3 times X its should open the thing where it asks to choose what mode to run it in so there you can choose :). also some other games that use P-Scan are different like the RE4, all Burnout, megaman x and some others once you put the game cd/dvd in the drive hold down X+Triangle until it asks you to choose the screen mode.
