    Hi all,

I have searched for the answer to this but have had no luck.

I have quite a few music videos that I have downloaded and are between 3-30minutes, I would like to fit as many on to a DVD as possible, I am using the following:

I have "VSO Divx to DVD" which I am using to convert the files.

I am using Nero 6.6.0.18 to record them to disc. (The Nero disc was bought seperatly from my Burner, so Nero doesn't recognise it, this is not so much of a problem - but it does mean that I cannot follow Alkohol's "AVI to DVD" thread)

"VSO DIVx to DVD" converts the files and gives me a VIDEO_TS folder. This happens each time I convert. When I use NERO, I add video files, the first one adds fine, but then the next one says "a file of the same name already exists, do I want to copy over it".

Is there any way of "Re-naming" the files so I can add more than one folder?

If anyone has any sudgestions please let me know.

    Thanks

if you batch encode the files through vso divx to dvd then you dont need to rename each folder.

However if you do each video file separately , when your folder comes out converted, just right click the actual folder and rename it anything you like. When you convert the next file , do the same. Now when you use nero it can differentiate between the different vob file folders and will allow you to burn them to disc

Tried that, Nero wont accept the re-naming, I get the following messages:

A special entry already present on the target location. Original, Joliet or ISO file names can be identical. Cannot move “VIDEO_TS.BUP” to new location.

A special entry already present on the target location. Original, Joliet or ISO file names can be identical. Cannot move “VIDEO_TS.IFO” to new location.

A special entry already present on the target location. Original, Joliet or ISO file names can be identical. Cannot move “VTS_01_0.BUP” to new location.

A special entry already present on the target location. Original, Joliet or ISO file names can be identical. Cannot move “VTS_01_0.IFO” to new location.

A special entry already present on the target location. Original, Joliet or ISO file names can be identical. Cannot move “VTS_01_0.VOB” to new location.

I even tried renaming the files (i.e. "HELLO VTS_01_0.VOB") but Nero then says that it cannot find the file.

i mean, dont change the actual files themselves.Instead cut and paste them into a new folder.Rename the folder not the files

andmerr: I cut and pasted the files into a new folder (not re-naming the files) this doesn't work. I will try DVD-Shrink which you recomended to me in a different thread a couple of weeks back, and see how that works. Thanks

Maybe i don't understand, but if you use Nerovision then you can add as many as you want, a list comes up and you click add video files.

You can then make a menu with each individual clip on the dvd.

I think the problem stems from (I did mention this in the other thread I posted a couple of weeks ago) I bought my version of Nero 6 from Ebay and when it arrived it said that the disc was meant to be bundled software with the DVD burner. Now, as I haven't bought the burner (it was an old one by brother-in-law gave me) Nero won't recognise my burner, not in the way alkohol has mentioned.

When I load Nero, I go into Photo & Video, and then Burn DVD-Video files, I can then burn my disc from there.

I have (as andmerr mentioned) managed to batch encode my files, which then record with no problems. This way will do fine (until I work out what I'm doing wrong)

    Thanks for all your help.
