Burn Process Failed! 40+ dvd-r discs wasted NEED HELP!!!!!!!

    I am having a big issue with my dvd burner when i try and burn it fails more than it completes successfully, overall 40 odd dvd discs have been wasted which retail at $60 AU so i am not very happy

    [Dvd burner on top ide connection - master - DMA on - FirmW uptodate

    [Ide in secondary ide socket

    If anyone can help me so i have can have 100% successful burn compltetion with the exception of dud discs i would be very happy as it is bothering me quite alot, here is my latest error report:

    I see you did at least get your connections sorted from our last back and forth.

    You still dont mind posting your serial number. Well thats your choice.

    You still have not updated nero and are still attempting to burn on the fly. Without correcting those 2 things your burning will be hit and miss, mostly miss.

    the media your using is considered very low quality, quality media is a must, use verbatim or taiyo yuden

    what do u mean burn on the fly, are you saying i should create an image first?

    You will have more success by doing that than burning on the fly.
