hey im new to this whole thing and i have decrpted a dvd and its in dvd shrink 3.1 and is re-authored but now i have no where to go.... can sumone tell me how i actually burn dvds please????
Next you have to have an RW drive to "burn" (record) the DVD. You're using an old version of Shrink. You can download a newer one. Assuming you have a "burner" drive, you need the software. DVD Decrypter and ImgBurn are free, but you have to create an ISO image with Shrink to burn with those. Had you had Nero installed, Shrink would have used it automatically as the default setting is to burn with Nero. So, what recording software do you have? By the way, you can download a free trial of Nero from Nero.com. Had you clicked Help on the Shrink toolbar, selected Help Topics and Guides, you would find links still good for a bunch of guides on "how to". At least they're there in the 3.2 version. The easy quick start guides are at http://www.DVDShrink.info .
You will find very helpful guides here: http://www.dvdplusvideo.com/dvd_tutorials.html and here: http://home.comcast.net/~bbmayo/guides.htm
Just in case you want to check the 3.2 page against the 3.1 version. Guides Unfortunately I did not have time to write comprehensive documentation on how to use DVD Shrink. However if you are stuck, there is a wealth of valuable information on the internet. Please take the time to follow the links below. Doom9 has written an excellent DVD Shrink Guide which covers pretty much everything you can do with DVD Shrink. Also a detailed DVD Shrink Guide at DVD±R Digest. Check out ddlooping's interactive guides at dvdshrink.info. mrbass has written an excellent guide with lots of screenshots at mrbass.org. Problems The most common problem is read errors or copy protection errors with a certain DVD. In this case, using DVD Decrypter usually solves the problem. A guide for using this free tool with DVD Shrink can be found here. Other problems are frequently solved in the DVD Shrink Forum. Forums and Feedback If you require further information about a topic not covered in any of these sites, or if you wish to make a suggestion or report a bug, or have anything to say at all, then please visit one of the following sites: The DVD Shrink Forum will always contain the most up-to-date information and news about DVD Shrink. The One Click DVD Backup Solutions Forum at Doom9. The official spanish DVD Shrink forum at DVDaDVDr.com. IHoe That's a good link if one wants to cover everything. But the help was requested for Shrink. The links suggested in the Shrink page are included in the link you gave. As for BB and 'Pete, well, all you can say is it's 'Pete and BB. Much of what they preach can be found here at AD. They have put together some decent Newbie help guides though; as long as the newbies realize their methods aren't written in stone. The best easy guides are probably the ones at DVDShrink.info.
