    my nero 6 was pre installed in my new computer its DVD±R

    my questions

    how do i burn a dvd to be able to play back on dvd player over my television i have tried two dvd r and both say wrong disc for this dvd pklayer they will play back on computer . am i using the right dvd or do i need another kind i like to make slide shows for family to run on there tvs

    second can dvd r have the ability to keep putting photos and data on or are they only good for one session

    DVD R is a one time deal unless you have it set for multi-session. In that situation you are adding to the content till the disc is filled. To read on other PCs without the multi-session software in use, the DVD has to be finalized. RW media is the one that you can write to over and over. Most DVD players require the files to be in a movie format to play. So, just recording slides to DVD won't work unless there is a program that put them in an MPEG format that will play on the standalone player. On a PC you can have software that plays files in a slideshow format.

    This section of the forum is pretty much about backing up DVD movies.
