i have a celeron d processor 2.53ghz and 1256 of ram and the problem im getting is that when ever im copying files from my cd every thing slows down. could it be a driver issiue??
You have a Celeron.....that is the problem. It is only ment to handle one program at a time. A normal CPU is ment to take 8 lanes of traffic but a celeron takes those 8 and narrows it to 4. Hence why it is recomended to be used as a web browser or single app. processor.
the only difference between a true p4 & a celeron version is the amount of ram cache on the cpu. 1st p4 celerons had 128k cache compared to a p4 having 512k. the celeron d has 256k cache & a prescott dye.
Sorry, I was mislead on this one. I thought that Celerons only condensed the work that a normal Intel did.
im still having issues with my drive when ever i play any thing from that drive it play slow and choppy. i changed it for a dvd drive my friend gave me its brand new but still same issues when playing dvds
