Ok, i had the exact same problems. Could not preform end of disc at once, ect. THERE IS A REALLY EASY WAY TO FIX THIS!

1.) Download DVD Shrink http://www.dvdshrink.org/

2.) Downlaod DVD Decrypter http://www.dvddecrypter.com/index.php?act=download

3.) Open up DVD Shrink and slect open files, disc, disc image, ect. then click backup, and backup as an ISO.





4.) Open up DVD Decrypter and select 1.)mode, 2.)ISO, 3.)write and then 4.click the button. and you should have no problems.

Do you have the latest firmware for your model recorder? You should also upgrade to our latest Nero 6.6.0.12 if you have not already.

The log file shows an error message as soon as your recorder attempts the first write. I would normally assume this to be caused by poor DVD DL media, old firmware, or old version of our software.
Assuming of course that you do not have trouble creating data CD's and writing to normal DVDs.

Hello,
I am a newbie to the forum, and I too am having the "disc-at-once" error with Nero 6.6.0.13. Can anybody offer any advice?
My "disc-at-once" error comes during the lead-out. I sometimes have success with burning DVD's, but it is sporadic and I usually have to restart my machine and make sure Nero is the only thing running. I have defragmented my machine, and my firmware and ASPI are updated judging from what I've read on previous posts. The jumpers are cleaned out and firmly attached. I am aware that one of the hard drives appears to have DMA disabled. This is not the drive that I am using. Also, I'm using Sony media with a Sony DRU-510A burner. If anybody would mind reading my log I will appreciate it very much.

Thanks for all the great advice! It still didn't work once I updated to the latest copy of Nero...but once I updated to the latest firmware for my DVD Burner...then everything worked great! Thanks for all of y'alls help! =)

Your log file shows an error message of 'Queue Again Later' which means that a write command was issued to your recorder, but it was busy, and so the command went into a Queue to await for the drive to become ready to accept commands again. But the drive never free's up and eventually it times out with this error message.

This normally indicates the drive has old firmware, trouble with the media being written too, or driver conflicts with other programs.

The fact that you mention a fresh reboot with nothing running in the background causes occasional succes, would seem to indicate you have a software driver conflict.

Do you or did you have any other Recording programs on your system? If you do, I would recommend uninstalling them, and then using the Nero Registry and Driver Clean tool to clean your system, and then reboot and see if this resolves your issues.

Hi there,
After seeing several posts on different boards about this issue, I think that the short answer that no one has posted is that Nero changed the burn size limit. Thus, your media size is too big to complete the burn. You have two easy options to make it work with your current media. Try making the burn size 4300MB in your compression program. Or you might try enabling the over burn feature in Nero.

I am a new to this form.
I have got the problem while burning DVD-R.
I have installed the Nero software which came form the DVD writter. I installed the I/o Magic DVD writter. At the end of the burn I am receiving the error " could not perform end of disc at once"

I would appreciat if anybody can help.
I contacted the manufaturer. They asked me to return this burner and exchange it with another one. I don't think this is problem with the burner. I think its the problem that it is taking long time burn and I think it is the software.

Acutally, your problem is that you are getting a 'Queue Again Later' error message, as seen from the below excerpt from your log file. This means the Recorder is busy and not accepting any commands from Nero.

Hi,
Thanks for your response. I have already updated the new firmware. I tried burning DVD+R through Nero express 2 and it worked fine. I think the Nero back up has some problem. I also tried -r and it worked fine through Nero express. I also burnt a DVD -R through Nero vision it worked fine. I am also updating my verion of Nero. Let me update once I burn another DVD.

I've noticed a lot of people is recieving a similar problem as myself. I've tried re-installing Nero, but I always get that error. I've tried reburning many times and still end up with the error. Here is the saved log, hope you guys can help, thanks

I have the same problem. I'm using memorex DVD-R disk. I tried every thing i read in this forum but I get the same message "could not perform end of disc at once". Could it be that my dvd went bad? I burn disks before. I can read DVDs with it and play movies. It dosen't seem to write to the disk. Her is the log message.
I dont want to buy anther dvd and still have the same problem.

Hi Red0321,

Your actual error is a 'Power Calibration Error'. You must always go with the first error message that occurs in the log file. As it will cause other errors like a 'Domino effect'. If you do a search on this forum for 'Power Calibration error' you'll see a number of possible causes for this. Such as Poor media, dust on the optical head of the recorder, power fluctuations, old firmware for the recorder, or a defective recorder.

You are also getting a Power Calibration Error. And even before the writ the log file indicates that the recorder is unable to determine the MFG of the media, though it is able to determine the type. You could have a firwmare issue or poor media.

I'm starting to think i have a bad dvd burner. I can play movies or read files that i have saved on other dvds but it dosen't want to burn any thing. Any suggestion would help. here is my last log

I would recommend that you use a different brand of DVD media to see if this resolves your issue. And make sure you have the latest firmware for it, as the log file is indicating a problem with the Media. If that fails, then it is possible that the Recorder needs the optical head to be cleaned, or it needs service.

Hi All

I had the same problem but i think i found a way to solve this problem download a progame called BUG DOCTOR from ares or limewire then install it and it will search your pc for any errors and sort it out for you i had 120 errors after i downloaded SPYWARE DOCTOR and used that too and now i can copy stuff without the error message

It seems I have the same problem, but none of the fixes I have read so far have helped me.

Have you tried checking your basics ? Yes, I have tried several programs, about 5 different brand dvd's
Firmware ? Is upto date
ASPI ? checks fine.
Disk Defrag ? just did, and also recently reformatted and did all the upgrades for XP SP2
IDE location ? This is a laptop with only 1 dvd drive and DMA is enabled.
Jumper settings ? never touched them since bought the computer.
What type of media are you using ? Verbatim 8x DVD-R, also have on hand Memorex 8X DVD+R, have tried Sony's as well.

What programs are you using ? Nero 7.0.0.0
Exactly where are you and what are you doing when your error occurs. Trying to burn ISO files.
What are your PC's specs ? HP 7360US laptop, P4 3.4 1GB Memory, 100GB hard drive,
Do you have any Roxio products installed on your PC ? nope.

Also I tried downloading and using UltraISO and got the same Could Not Perform End Of Disc-At-Once Error.
