I have read toast does make perfect copies. I don't have a mac to confirm the steps though. I will try to find some. As for RW's read the first answer to Dic888

It is probably because you are using AR2 Lite? You might need the full AR2 and a certain version like 1.8 or so.

is there any way to play dvd-based backups on a cd-r with just the gameshark 2 swap method, because i know cd-based backups work that way, but can't figure out if dvd-based backups do.
thanks

I have another question. Awhile back in this forum I read about some of you guys making your own slide cards instead of buying one. Well don't you still need the swap magic disc or whatever? Or can you use a game shark, and what version would it have to be? If there's no need to buy any of that, then can someone send me the slide card template please. Thanks in advance.

i have found that using dvd encrypter works really well doing ps 2 games! also, if you have a older ps2? i suggest you use dvd+r's! my ps 2 is the 2nd generation, & it only reads +r's! just a little 411. good luck everyone

I read through the PS2 Backup tutorials and it looks really cool and something I want to do,
the only thing I am missing is a mod chip...
Just wondering what the best mod chip is to get and where I can get one... (running very first PS2 version)
Thanks!

Hey Dex, you were right and the problem was that I was using AR2 lite. I tried it on my friends ps2 with his AR2 and it worked fine. Also I need to compare blank DVD prices and quality. I know this little shop near me which sells TDK blank dvds for
3 pounds each (i don't know how many dollars that is. $2 maybe $2.25?) also in 5 packs. i have an internal dvd writer and only the one drive (i think. Its on my other G4.) I'm going to try do image burn. But thers work going on in my house at the moment with scaffolding up so my older g4 is set up in the kitchen and the newer one is hidden. I'll keep you posted if i need a hand...
How many people have walked past you? How many people have walked past them? Have they been walked past as well?
