Are you useing WPA-PSK (TKIP) if so the PSP dosen't support that security setting! If you have that enabeled it will show up as WEP! PSP firmwear virsion 2.0 dose support WPA-PSK (TKIP).

You need a wireless router. Just having broadband doesn't set up a wireless network, so you can't wirelessly connect to the internet through your PSP. If you're lucky though, you might have someone living near you get one, and then you could just be part of their network ;)

For this to work, you need a wireless router, or a wireless access point. Your nice little PSP has a built in wireless card...isn't that nice?? Now..pay attention kiddies! If your getting error code (80410D07), that means your router is locked down to prevent unauthorized access. This is a good thing, and prevents bad guys like Joe Schmoe from stealing your precious bandwidth, or accessing your network, and stealing your porn without you knowing it..BAD JOE SCHMOE! In order to fix this error your getting, you need access to the administrator page of the router, and you need to add the mac address of your PSP to the allow list. Don't ask me how to do this, because, if your router is locked down, this means that more than likely, the default password has been changed. So, you probably have to ask your local administrator (read that as Daddy, or Mommy) to enter the MAC address of the PSP into the router so it can connect.
Your best bet is to find the users manual for the router, or check out the web page of the router (www.linksys.com, www.cisco.com, etc) and download the manual. This will only get you connected to the router, and on to the local network. If you have a friend that comes over with his PSP, you can hook up wirelessly...nifty!
If your looking to play games on the internet...that's another story...

How do you go to google, yahoo, etc...?
I have my PSP connect to Wipeout Pure homepage. And there are only 2 options on that web: Home and Download. I cant figure it out how to go to google or yahoo. Do I need any web browser homebrew apps? If so what are they? Please help, Thanks.

I don't have wipeout personally, but I think you might be talking about the version 2.0 browser? That's how you do it in there, but I don't think it'd be the same in the Wipeout browser. I do think you have to hack it, which shouldn't be a problem unless you've got version 2.0, in which case why would you want to use the wipeout browser when you can have the real thing?! :)

There are some good hacks around for earlier versions.... but mine was version 1.51 or something so hacks wouldn't work in the first place. :)

You have to buy a base unit to do that, and I've heard it costs about $1000. I'm not sure though. :)
As I said, I don't have version 2.5 yet, they haven't officially released it for England so I'm not d/ling it until they have.

I ran the Wipeout. It load the Wipeout Pure homepage. I click triangle then up then X like you said and NOTHING happened. I don't know why.
I have v1.50. Now I just install tenchi web browser. So I have Wipeout and Tenchi to surf the internet. Tenchi is all in Japanese which I can't read and understand. Unfortunately, I have NOT successfully to surf the webs yet. I will try hard. If you know how to use this 2 softwares, please guide me.

Hey, I've been trying to get online with a few different web portals, but this is the one that worked for me:
http://www.pspwebsites.com/pages/instructions.php
that is the instructions for the settings in the psp. I've registered for my own free page, and now whenever I go online I have my 20 favourite PSP friendly links right away. Hope this helps somebody out.
