When you resample and save, rename it like this EG: M4Vxxxxx.THM

Only thing is, it resamples right, but I when I press the button again to save it, some error occurs, and I have to press " Continue" and it automatically saves it itself, and it just renames the picture with
.png" at the end, and then I just rename it to M4Vxxxxx.

Bit off topic here mate, why are u converting in MPEG SP (M4V)?
Convert in MPEG AVC (MAQ) much better picture with smaller file sizes. Click the PSPvideo9 and DVD Decrypter guide in my sig for more info, and how to do it.

Bring up the PSP folder with the film in it, delete the thumbnail, drop your custom nail in and rename it to that of the movie!
EG: MAQ10001.MP4 MAQ10001.THM

Just to double check, I resave the file as PNG right? Or do I keep it as JPG and rename it?

I have followed every step also and I still get a Unsupported Data Window also. When I use PSPV9 to convert it works perfect but any existing movies I have got from online in mp4 give me the Unsupported Data Window. I thought the THM would fix it but no good. Before it didnt show a video at all but did show the memory being taken by the video, Now that i added the THM it shows the video but gives the Unsupported Data window. My THM doesnt look like the example. It shows as a Sony DVD architect file. I took a screen shot of my MP_ROOT folder to show you what I mean. The movie and THM M4V10007 were converted and created by PSPV9 and works great! But the movie M4V10009 was downloaded off the net in MP4 format already minus the THM, and the THM M4V10009 was done by me in an attempt to get it to work and this is the mp4 I get the error on. I hope someone can help me out!

um, on the psp directory, there's a folder called VIDEO. In this folder you can put MP4s from the web, and usually the videos in this folder will be unsupported in the MP_ROOT/100MNV01 folder, but may work in the PSP/VIDEO folder. Once in the video folder they can be named anything, but THMs (preview pics) are incompatible---at least i cant get them to work.

Sweet Tutorial Man...thank you for doin' this! But I do have aquestion is there anyway to edit what is displayed as far as the title of the thumbnail when you go to the video section of the PSP like mine says "Video_1" is there any way to get it so it reads just "Video"? and not have the "_"? Thanks again!

Hi All,
I've created a THM file as discribed, and placed it with the Mp4 file (both with the same name except the extension), into the MP_ROOT/100MNV01 folder. When I look at the Video Icon and then Memory Stick the Video does not show at all.
So I moved the the Mp4 file and Thm file and placed them in the Video directory on my memory stick. As describe by cenaboy18 a couple of posts back.
The video shows up, and plays perfect. Although I have no thumbnail. Does anyone know why its not working. Is cenaboy18 right that there not compatible.
Maybe its a firmware issue??? I using Firmware 3.10, which I believe is the latest out. If it is a firmware issue, I think its pretty mad, that you could make your own THM files for videos on a earlier firmware, but not on the later ones.
If anyone can help me out, I'd be must grateful.
Thanx in advance

hey, cenaboy18 here. i have 3.11 and thms still DO NOT work...videos in 100MN01 go through the psp's special reading of files, which allows thms but only videos up to 768kbps in quality. But videos in VIDEO can be much higher...i have high quality DVDrips of music videos that are 2560 kbps. Sony technically says the PSP cannot playback these files, but they MEMORY STICK CAN. That is why there is deviation.
