UMD Gen is used to rebuild iso's so they are playable, or remove un-needed/unwanted data. It is most commonly used to swap prx's. Yes, all iso's go in the ISO folder in the root of your mem stick.

Those setings are wrong, change them to this:
UMD VER: 2.XX->2.00
Firmware: 2.50 + 2.00 (just says 2.50 if u r using .41d)

Do you have the x folder, thought u said u did....Here is a link to .41d on megaupload.....My iso is 585MB after i compressed it, so it sound like your iso is fine.

Do a full restall on devhook. Erase all the old stuff and then put the new stuff on

Format your memory stick or delete the dh folder.
You may also want to delete the DEVHOOK and DEVHOOK% folders under PSP\GAME.
1. Intstall my DevHook 0.41d ISO Boot Version.
2. Put your ISO file in the ISO folder on the MS Root.
3. Load up DevHook 0.41d.
4. Let it load until the DevHook menu appears.
5. Change 'Target ISO' to your ISO.
6. PSP will 'restart' and load the target ISO.
did all of this i think i got the wrong ISO -.-'
or do u need a MS root

Im not sure what this means.....is this a question? The readme in the rar? What do u mean by "or do u need a MS root?" The MS root is the first screen you see when you connect your psp to your comp.

Hi..did the game u downloaded have a loader itself? (contains 3 folders, "X", "game", "naruto game folder"),
I had one of the naruto game in that format but i re-downloaded the original ISO version of the game and replace the prx's files and the game is working fine now with devhook v0.41

I think u should restart your psp back to 1.5 and format the memory stick and try it over again. Did the PSP hang before or after the introduction screen? (The part where it flashes the PSP logo)
Note: Since u are having the ISO version of the game it might not been fixed yet..u will need to unpack the iso and replace the prx files with the prx from battlefront2 or dragonball Z, and rebuild the game back into its ISO form using umdgen.
My PSP used to hang after the introduction screen when i played the unfxed naruto portable but it works fine now after i fixed it!

Does it mean that u have replace the prx files and rebuild the ISO? From which game did u copy the prx files from? currently i only know that it can be replace with battlefront2 or dragonball Z prxs
U can check out psp-hacks.com to find the full version of the devhookv0.41a, i am currently using devhookv0.41a and the game runs fine.
thats the 1st time that i have heard about this problem, are u sure that all the files are being put into the correct places?
Hope this helps

Man, still havent got it running. Get some DBZ prx's, and sqap them into the untouched iso. If u have the UMD EMU Run UMD edition Naruto, just give up know, cause u are going to have to patch it with a boot.bin and eboot.bin, and thats no fun. If u really want to play it, get the DBZ prx's bust out UMD Gen 2.00 or 2.01, and u will be done.

Not quite sure what u just said. Open the Naruto iso with UMD Gen, the douvle cick USRDIR folder, and there should be a module and kmodule folder. Swap all compatible prx's by right clicking them and pushing replace, then pick the one with the same name from the DBZ ones. No prob if u cant swap them all out.

Hi svtstang, i know this maybe abit off topic but i hope u can answer my doubts, i currently have the runumd edition of King Kong (The one with 3 folders), I i would like to rebuild back into its ISO form, i notice that files like EBOOT.BIN and the UMD_DATA.BIN is not present, is it possible for me to rebuild the ISO by using the EBOOT.BIN and UMD_DATA.BIN from other games?
Thanks

Yes it is possible, but finding the corrct game to extract the eboot.bin and UMD_DATA.bin can be, well, a pain in the ass. I do not have a King Kong iso, so i am not sure what fw is requied for that particular game. I will do some research and will let u know if/when i find a game that has those interchangable files. If u dont mind, can u tell me what required fw is necessary to run King Kong. That will make it easier. Also, if u have time, u might want to play around with UMD Gen and try it out using eboot.bin and UMD_DATA.bin from other iso's. I also have heard that Worms is compatiable for changing out these files, so if u have it, might as well try it:)
