Connects an "IDE" rom to the IDE port of ur PCI card should do the job (thats how i get it to work)
*Note remember which drive to which port before flashing.
*Warning unplug all raid drive before anything (kill my raid array while getting the "no drive detected" problem

boot from floppy and turn on 360
once you get to the point where you pick which drive to flash turn off the 360 count to exactly 10 and press the button on your pc that goes with the 360 and the power button on the 360 at the same time.
might not work the first try but just keep trying I have done this multiple times with success but sometimes it takes several tries.
dudes a genious! it worked for me first try! when it asked which drive you want to select, turn off the xbox, wait 10 seconds and then press the xbox power at the same time as your drive selection on the keyboard. its the only way i could keep it from freezing at that point.

I have an ASUS P4P800 E Deluxe mobo. it has onboard SATA, but when I get to step 5, there are no SATA options for me to hex edit.
when I run the mtkflash utility it says no drives detected. I have disabled RAID and all the IDE as stated by the instructions.
anyone gotten this to work using this mobo?
am I going to have to buy a SATA card to get this to work?
thankful for any help

I'm having some problems getting my 360 flashed (its a ms25). I installed a blaster 360, and all went well. After the install I checked and I could still get into the dashboard and play games.
I started up iPrep, selected my new firmware, selected my nForce SATA controller. (its a 650i based mobo) it created my usb stick no problems.
after booting into the usb stick, I constantly got "no drive detected". I tried many suggestions from this thread, nothing worked.
finally I resorted to trying to hex edit mtkflash myself with the values I found in msinfo32.exe.
I did this and when I booted I no longer got "No drive detected" but got a "VIA 6421 Master" and "VIA 6421 Slave". I selected the master and it just hung.
Now I can't get my BIOS to detect the drive anymore and I cant get the xbox to boot period, the start button just flashes red.
I've read that if I get a true VIA vt6421L that I can repair it. Any help please? I really hope I didn't just brick $400.

I have this sata card. Works great, only problem is that the plastic part of the sata port I use is broken. Getting the cable to stay attached is getting harder every time. How can I edit it so that the program will look for the dvd drive on the other port?

I also have had the no drive detected error wile using iprep and xtremeboot maker. I have a SATA hard drive and onboard SATA on my mobo. To recognize my controller I had to leave my hard drive plugged in to be abled to see the xbox drive. So my 2 cents is try that if you have a SATA HD. Just make sure you enter the correct #. DONT FLASH YOUR HD. Hope this helps.
