We have had a starview box for a few months and it has been working fine but suddenly the remote control has stopped working, done the obvious of changing the batteries but nothing happens any idea's

Can someone please send me a private message so I can give them my email address and get the original files from them. I need to do a fresh install for my friends box from factory settings but cannot do so until I get the files. I will be checking all night so if you can help I would be very grateful

hi just got my box, follewd the sllers instructions, as i went through the automatic scan. it comes up with no programmes found. ( id currently have NTL running through the house.

Hi, first post so be gentle with me ! My Starview box has gone down today, is it the same as last time when it affected all starviews or is it just mine ? Any chance of a fix for it please?

Hi there, I,m having the same problem only bought the box in november,I think it did come with a disc but my wife has "FILED IT"so I wont be seeing that again! Could someone please send me both files it would be much appreciated.

Guys, I have the same problem here. I have managed to download the GT Loader and the bin files 257 and 259 onto my computer however each time I try to download the file onto the Starview after a few seconds appears a small window saying "Flash update fail". I just cannot seem to downlaod onto the Starview. Somebody help

Hi, I have a new star view box - I have done an automatic scan. I have over 200 channels scanned. BUT I CANNOT VIEW THE SCRAMBLED CHANNELS.
Could someone please tell me where I enter the EMU number which will let me watch these channels? I already have the number

press menu then 1570,or go to parental control,press info then 2004,0r master code 1668,go to emu key at the bottom then switch on then exit,go to a blank screen thats say scrambled,then wait till it updates

Hya wondered if anyone can help i have a starview box and installed the updated file from jan 07 everything has been working fine till the last couple of days when channels were going one by one saying scrambled i did manage to get some back when it updated itself but there are at least 3 movie channels gone! Does anyone know if there is a recent problem or a way to get the channels back?

Something tells me that so many people are doing exactly what they are supposed to and the update is failing that there is an inherrant problem with loads of these boxes.

How long does the download take to the box it has been sitting at 0% for about 20 mins now.
Look forward to hearing your remarks .

If you mean from the computer to the box it doesn't take that long mine took between 10 and 15 mins to complete but the percentage did go up dunno what to suggest though other than cancel and try again?

i have tried about 5 times now the % never moves.
Does the box need to be in standby mode ie time on the front or on with the on flashing .I have tried both , but any other suggestions would be much appreciated.

No mine has always worked i don't know what to say.... are you running the 2006 update? are you using the right com port? .... failing that do you have a faulty rs232 cable sorry my friend i'm at a loss after that ??

The bin file says it is STAR VIEW_26012007_257eE_api and i got the cable sent out with the boxes it is now doing my head in.

ok just a thought as it's not working anyways have you tried reseting your box back to factory settings then tryind to upload the old file and then the new file? dunno if it will work but if you have nothing yet?
