Agreed. I do feel somewhat concious of the fact I am an Addict who has only been @ aD for just over a year now.. I know for a fact that there are lots of members that desvere the title more than me.
Hell, I'm only an Addict cos during the first 4 months or so of posting, I was a completely *addicted* and practically slept in the Nero forum! >.<

 

I am with you Fiend, let the mods or staffers decide who gets to be senior and addict. If rank means that much to someone here, are they here to really help. or just looking for another Boy Scout Badge?
change all of the titles to "member since"
or "Joined on", keep the 3 minute rule to prevent spmmers from loading up the forums until they have been active for 30 days or so.

When I first came here I knew nothing and now know very little. I have learned alot. Isn't this forum here to help people who have questions? It just seems that their are too many people to eager to critisize others for not knowing much??? A test to see if they should be able to post a question? If they don't know enough don't even let them join?

Too many self important individuals, why not just all you guy's quit and start a new forum? Talk about self promoting... All too eager to bash newbies. I think it is called masterbation what you all are doing.

ZeroHour, the test would be designed to keep people like yourself from joining up in the first place. Also, the whole point is to limit "ppl who just want to make a joke or spam bots".
Anyone who joins a tech forum soley to make a joke needs to jump off a cliff.

 

hey man i know all the rules i read them when i make a new account just to see how far a can push the envelope with out it falling of the table. but for people who have been here as long as me know that there are alot of prank stuff that happens here with all the links and such.

 

You didn't just admit to intentionally pushing the rules to their limits to get a reaction did you? Shame.

And yes, there is a lot of joking that goes on here, but I think you'll find it's from members who also have contributed a lot over the past, and still do, to the techy forums.
