the addictz servers are shaky at times, just make sure you are trying to connect on port 6667 and eventually it will connect.

Strange, neither my home or work PC's can resolve an address for irc.addictz.net.

Try this (it's a direct ip):

/server 216.205.74.2:6667

Has anybody used the IRC chat feature in the mozilla browser? I've never used IRC or this browser feature, so I was wondering if it might make it easier for a first timer. Thanx

I once yrs ago used IRC feature in eMule to chat ... but it really does defeat the point of the object [as chatting is all you can do] ;-)

mIRC is easy to use.

There is a guide http://www.afterdawn.com/guides/archive/connecting_to_ad_buddies.cfm on getting onto the ad_buddies channel, which they should be able to help you further if you have any more questions.

I've gone on to ad buddies a couple of times but there's never anybody there. I must be using it at the wrong times.

Make sure you type /server irc.addictz.net then /join #ad_buddies, there is always somebody there.

You might of joined when there has been a net split or something.

I would idle on addictz,but I can't leave my computer on forever.It doesn't make sense to idle also,if you aint there talking there is no reason to idle.Anyways the channel is tight.I like it,if only I could get on the right time everybody else does.Then that would be cool.I catch a person every once in awhile,but like I said I normally start talking to myself to see if anybody wakes up and looks at the screen.Another thing is mIRC aint hard,just gotta know how to type the commands is all.If you learn the commands then you will be alright.
