    Hi there,
I have a number of huge avi formats, and was wondering if I use Nero to convert it from AVi to MP4 if there will be any loss to the original quality as it is in MP4 format.
I plan to keep it as storage that's why.

Also if I convert AVI to DVD using Nero, will there also me any loss to original quality.

    Please advise..

    Thanks,

Hi, it depends on how small you want to make the mp4's. But it can be done with little quality loss. If you convert from avi using nero you probably will get quality loss. I like nero for other things but the encoder it uses does a really bad job. If you use tmpeg or CCE then a dvd authoring software then you will have no quality loss.
