I am trying to use Nero Vision Express to capture video from my Sony DV Handycam and edit/burn onto a Sony DRX-810UL external DVD burner Just purchased), using my Gateway 450 laptop to do so. When I capture the video from my camcorder and burn it, the dvd is very choppy looking, audio sounds fine, but video is very jaggy. The camcorder when hooked up to the tv looks and sounds fine. The burner seems to burn alright it is only a week old and burns data fine. Is it the software, its settings, or my system resources. The laptop is running as follows: Gateway 450 ROG Laptop Windows XP Professional SP2 Pentium 4 mobile 1400 Mhz ATI AGP Radeon Mobility M7 64 mb ram 40 GB hard drive (47% full) 512 mb ram I am using the updated version of Nero Ultra 6. I know this is probably a baseline question, but I searched for familiar postings and found nothing helpful. If anyone can help me I would appreciate it.
Gateway Laptops are known to have a boat load of crap runing in the background. Something there may be causing the problem. Google for enditall2 and run it right before burning and click the skull and crosbones to close all those apps it can.
