    Hi, quick question...

Was just wondering what is the best way to put divx movies from my computer on to a hard drive in a dvd recorder which will soon be delivered.

    Thanks

sorry my question was a bit vague. i think its being misread. what i meant is that i've just purchased a sony rdr-hxd910 dvd recorder. it has a built in 250gb hard drive.

what i wanted to know is that i have many films on my home computer and i wanted to know what the best way is to put them on the dvd recorder's hard drive.

or did u mean the best way is to make convert my avi to dvd files and burn them, then copy to the hard drive on the dvd recorder??

    thanks

Well, you could always try a transfer of some sort. If you don't mind going through the motions, it is possible to take the HDD from the DVR and put it directly into your computer and copy it from there.

Even though, that may void any warranties if I'm not mistaken. I'd hold off on that unless you don't want to go through finding a way to transfer the files.

Even if what I said doesn't help, I'm sure someone will come in here and correct me right away. :) Just see if you there's a way to transfer the files from your computer to the DVR through a USB or something.
