I have a Pioneer DVR-K15 (firwmware version 1.1) one of those combo CDRW and DVDRW drives... The laptop I bought came with Sonic Burning software. It works great. I installed 1clickDVD and DVD43, it also works beautifly. No problem making copies; the discs play well on other DVD players.

The problem is when I try to play any disc, DVD, copied, original, Audio CD, or MP3s on CD it studders, and is very choppy the whole time it attempts to play. When I first bouhgt the computer, it played DVDs and CDs great. This only stated after I installed 1clickDVD and dvd43.

I have since deleted/uninstalled both 1click and dvd43, run a registry cleaner to make sure they're gone (RegScrubXP), defraged, rebooted and tried to disable the digital CD Audio for the drive. I also downloaded Codec Sniper and windows xp codec pack and deleted all the broken codecs.

After doing all the above, it did get a little better, but its still real bad. It's like the music or DVD has a wierd pulse when it plays, stop and go every second. Very choppy. Do I have a bad drive or is there a registry setting I missed? Maybe a bad codec? I really have no clue. PLEASE HELP!
