    Hello,
Im looking for a new graphics card with a svideo port. My current card is a nvidea geforce 6100 but doesnt have a svideo on it. That is the reason why i am getting a new one so i can hook up my tv from my pc to watch movies and play emulator games on my tv.
My price range is under 100 dollars. Does anyone have any suggestions on any cards that are better than the card i already and also have good svideo output quality.

    Thanks

Here is a link to my pc.
    http://www.gateway.com/home/products/ret/ret_gt4010.shtml

    nVidia® GeForce® 6100 GPU
up to 128MB of shared video memory
    PCI-Express (PCI-E x16) slot available

Is this enough info? Why do you need to know if it is agp8x/4x.? Sorry for the dumb question, just dont know to much about these things

Here is what another person recommended

    AOpen 6200TC DV128 Geforce 6200TC 128MB GDDR2 PCI Express x16 Video Card

    He also said this.

"if you want to get a graphics card then id suggest a 6200. basically a 6200 is the same as the onboard graphics you alreafy have but, it has 2 monitor outputs, an S-Video output and it has the added advantage that it wont affect your system memory at all. "

"movies will look good on every graphics card that came out in the last few years. basiacally that 6200 is the card for you, inexpensive, high quality for movies and mid range 3D specs."

"plus it perfectly matches your motherboards chipset so you shouldnt have any compatibility issues at all. ittl literally be plug and play"

"NVIDIA GeForce 6100 - thats your chipset"
"so obviously anything made by nvidia is a perfect match"

Hey i read the reviews on that card. Most people gave good reviews. No one said anything about if they hooked it up to tv using the svideo though. Thats one of the main reasons i am upgrading my card. When i researeched a little on this svideo to tv conversion, some people were dissapointed with their cards in video quality on tv.
Do you know if this card you recommended has good svideo to tv quality?
Also is this better than the one that other person recommended?

    Thanks again

If you ever wanted to go big-and-beefy in the future, settle for the 7800 GTX SLI.

all pci-e or agp cards use their own memory, not the ram of the computer.

    Hi Mike,

I'm wanting to part ways with my BFG 6600GT OC because I purchased a second 7800GT for SLI . I barely used this card for about 1 month and it was never overclocked, hell the computer wasn't even turned on half of the time because of my long work days. Newegg is selling this card new for $188 including shipping but I'm willing to let it go for $100.. I have the box, cables, and user manual and the receipt somewhere around the house.. Pm me if you or anyone else is interested....thanks

Heres the specs on the card if you or anyone else wants to know.

    BFG GeForce 6600 GT OC
    PCI Express
    Memory 128MB GDDR3
Core Clock 525MHz (vs. 500MHz standard)
Memory Clock 1050MHz (vs. 1000MHz standard)
    RAMDAC Dual 400MHz
    Microsoft® DirectX® 9.0 and lower, OpenGL 1.5 and lower for Microsoft® Windows®
    Connectors Dual DVI-I, HDTV
    S-Video Out
    393 million vertices/sec setup
    16.8GB/second memory bandwidth

    Thanks for the info guys.
I Would consider that 6600gt but the 6600le is already on its way and dont really want to go through the hassle and process of sending it back. Considering the good reviews on this thread by you guys and good reviews on newegg, i should be in good shape.

Like i said before though, im not really into heavy gaming, just emulated simple games. So my main concern is if the cards svideo output is gonna look good on my tv, because i want to watch movies and play those emulated games on my tv. Thats one of the main reasons i decided to upgrade my card so i have a svideo on it
