How do you deal with a DVD that has multiple large Title Sets:
VTS_01, VTS_02, VTS_03 together with a large VTS_01_0.VOB file which contains the main menu.

The three title sets are episodes, the menu is 1Gb - If I don't compress this then that means the quality on the episodes after compression is worse. Ideally I'd like to half the size of the menu, but if I select half extra quality then does that not mean that 2 of the 3 title sets will be treated in the same way?

The disc in question is Spooks S1 D1.

    Cheers,
    Tangoman

Give MenuShrink a try. It will create a still image of your choice for the menu, and you have the option of keeping the audio. I always use this before running DVD-RB, helps to save a lot of space. Just open the program and drop the DVD folder onto GUI. You can even restore it to normal if you are not happy with the results.

if your first vts contains menu only you can set it to half d1!

just click on settings => options then onder avs advanced options you will find resize to half d1 set it for just vts1!

with pro you can also cut and edit in "video segment viewer/editer"
using three pass mode this will let you create stills or blank what you don't want? you will be able to view each segment to make sure what you are blanking!
