Is there any way for me to hack my router in order to find out what my Unsername/Password is?

I had that info and all my settings written down on paper... and i lost it. I do not want to reset the router to DEFAULT settings because I do not have all my settings written down.

I've been trying every UN/Pass i can think of but i recall makeing it something rediculosly long so that it was safe. I screwed myself by doing this, lol

    Thanks all!
    J

    Usually default is admin/admin

If you had changed it then your stuck. Going to have to pust the rest. Cause even if you contact the manufacter they will tell ya the same.

Gotcha Ozzy... i did contact them first before posting... they were helpfull with me figureing out what IP i changed my log-in to but said the same about the UN/Pass.

hmm, we'll seeing as though i can't remember all my settings for the router, does anyone know of a good website that has good configureation help with a Linksys BEFSR41?
I somehow had it setup to be a "hardware firewall" with some other settings i can not recall.

    Thanks again all!

I have a linkysy router and it was pretty much plug and play. The only thing I had to do was from default was clone mac addy of the router. Then I went over to the status page to see the dns servers that was being used. And then went back to the setup page and punched in the dns servers. That was it. Nothing more.

Portforward.com has directions. But it shouldnt be no more than that. And the hardware firewall ya mention should be on by default. Dont even try to disable it or you wont get on the net. Havnt figured a way round this, but who cares. A ewxtra firewall is always good and its to configure a port through it anyway.
