replace cd writer with dvd burner

    hiya

    i have just replaced my cd writer with a dvd burner the prob is i had to disconect my cd rom for the pc to reconice my dvd burner i set my dvd as slave begause my cdrom was set as master but the computer couldnt find my dvd so when i disconected my cd rom and set my dvd as naster bingo now i aint got use of my cdrom do you think i should try seting my cdrom as slave and dvd as master

    y dont u jus use ya dvd burner and it is best to hav ur dvd burner as master cause i remember wen i didn't hav it on master i couldn't burn dvds now i can.

    This is the wrong forum for this, but I will offer this advice. If you are running them both on the same cable, place the rom on the end connector and the dvd in the middle. Place them both on Cable Select and windows will pick them both up and they should work.
