what the????

    i just downloaded smallville episode 14 tomb in an avi format and when i try to view it with divx player it infomes me that the video data is FOURCC code MJPG may need to install new video codec.can someone explain this please...thanks

    codec stands for code, and decode. if somebody uses a certain codec to create the video, you need that codec to view the video. One way to make sure you have all the codecs you need, is to get Ace Mega Codecs Pack. It's a program that installs almost every codec that exists, and manages them.

    AVIcodec v1.2 Build 110
    AVIcodec is a nice little tool for identifying what codecs you need in order to play your multimedia.

    Avi2Dvd v0.4.3 Beta
    Avi2DVD is a GUI in order to convert with just few clicks an AVI/OGM/MKV/DVD to DVD/SVCD/VCD.

    I have never used any of these programs, but they are here on aD.
