Hi I am having a problem backing up my madagascar dvd using DVDecrypter in ISO read mode! If i use the FILE F or IFO I mode how do I burn the files to a DVD? Of the two modes which is the best to use? Thanks in advance (this problem is really doing my head in)
@struggler The best bet is to download dvdfab decrypter - rip w/ that- run the files thru shrink then burn w/ decrypter. Here's a guide w/ links to download the progs: http://home.comcast.net/~bbmayo/backup with DVDFABDecrypter,Shrink,&Decrypter.pdf
struggler- I'm a newbie too and Madagascar is the first movie I ever backed up (about a week ago). I had no problem at all using DVDfab decrypter/Shrink/Dvd Decrypter. Use the guide that binkie7 is posting.
Tried DVD Fab Decrypter and it is "hanging" on the same part of the disc as DVD Decrypter? The error from DVD Decrypter i'm getting is "Pack Header Not Found". I am getting this error all the time every 2 mins as it is trying to read the main movie file "I 18:26:41 Found VOB File: VTS_08_1.VOB - (LBA: 452770 - 976801) - KEY: N/A" Any sugestions? (thanks for your help by the way I do appreciate it binkie7 and everyone else)
@struggler Hmmm the last version of fab decrypter (2.9.7.0) should handle this one - region 1 at least. This disc has macrovision's ripguard on it. But all is not lost. Here's guide w/ links to dl the progs needed also - this guide uses decrypter & a couple others. If you don't have nero w/ recode use the shrink option that way you can burn w/ decrypter. http://my.afterdawn.com/alkohol/blog_entry.cfm/271 Let us know how it goes!
Thanks Binkie7, Still having a few problems with the way you suggested but I think I will be able to sort them out! If not I will get back to you if thats OK? I did have a few problems downloading the Plugins PSL plugins + FixVTS (v2.14) [ link ] or here [ link ] from the links specified. I found the following link/site that downloads the PGCEdit Vob Blanker DVD Shrink and Plugins in one easy package! If it will help anyone else or be of use the link is: http://forum.digital-digest.com/showthread.php?t=58318 Thanks for your help, this forum (well its senior members) is a real help so thanks again.
