I'm running Nero 7 without the updates, on a system with XP SP2.. When try to capture video from my ATI AIW x600 using Nero Vision, I can see video but there's no audio....I tried the setup wizard and on the first page, there's just a blank drop down window for selecting components which may be causing the problem....And then when I hit next, it asks to select either my mic on my webcam or line in for audio.....Neither of which are correct... I've used Nero Vision before to transcode and author DVDS without problems, but never for capturing...I'm going to try rolling back my ATI drivers... The reason for not applying the Nero update is that when I install it, I lose the ability to dvd author....I've been told it's of those mysterious update glitches....
Have you tried running your audio in cable directly to your sound card, I find if I connect mine to audio in for my WinFast I strike the same problem.
My ati aiw x600 doesn't have a cable that connect to the line in of my sound card like my previous ati cards... BTW I can capture video fine using the ATI MMC software.....Just wondering why Nero Vision isn't capturing with audio...I'll do the driver roll back and report back...
