Okay, I use nero all the time, and I am so sick of it taking so long. When I add files to burn a dvd, like say some arrested development epsides which are in avi format, I can only fit like 4 20 minute episodes on a dvd-r and it says like 8 hours remaining. Is this normal for it to take this long or am i doing someting wrong?? I also could only fit 2 freakin CSI episodes on a dvd and took like 12 hours to burn. I mean I guess it was worth the wait cause they burnt perfectly, but damn the time it takes to burn is ridiculous!
Check to see if DMA is on and its not in PIO mode, go here for a guide http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/260038 Dont multitask and close down all unnecessary progs including spyware.
okay, i followed the guid from the link you provided, and im still getting extremely long burn time, it says transcoding and it takes like 12 hours to burn 2 csi episodes! Also, shouldnt i be able to fit more than that on a blank dvd?? I have no Idea why it takes so damn long to transcode and burn!!
Go to program files>>>ahead>>>Nero, you'll find the log in there, only post your last log and edit out your serial No which shoudl start with 1A20XXXX XXXX or similar
Cut and paste to the rescue!! [bold]Nero 6 history log location: Program Files>Ahead>Nero>NeroHistory.txt Nero 7 history log location: Program Files>Nero>Nero 7>Core>NeroHistory.txt[/bold] These things record all burns, and we only need the last one. The burns are seperated by something like this that was from a Nero 6 log, but 7 looks much like that. Underneath the divider is the operating system, and right below that is the begining of the serial number. When posting a log, just include the last burn log, and edit out your serial numbers by typing xxxx over them. [/bold] Hi gwendolin!! You and binkie7 are doing a great job here at the Nero forum.. We can always use a womans touch here and i vanish from time to time.. **edit** Note to self.. when it take 4 edits to get your post correct, you need to take a break, and either reduce, or increase, the chemical input to your brain.. somebody say something?? i keep hearing voices. Anybody else have that problem.. U 2? Thats weird..
Hi gwendolin!! Feel free to cut and paste it. I kept going back and looking it up as i had both versions for a while and it got confusing. Now i have it as a blog entry in my homepage, and that comes in handy. I got the idea from seeing creaky do it on some of his posts. Shut up, im talking to gwendolin. Wait your turn.. The nerve of some ppl.. I bet U cut in lines too..
sorry for all the newbie questions, but thanks for your patience, and thanks for showing me where the log is I found it, but there is ton of stuff,im not sure exactly what i need to copy and paste to show you?
6:57:18 AM #26 Phase 37 File APIProgress.cpp, Line 269 Burn process completed successfully at 6x (8,310 KB/s)???
See in the post were it says burns will be seperated by a divider? Go to the last part of your log and post everything from the last divider down, removing the serial number, and leaving the rest.. I got the 6x burn ok part, but put the rest up, or is this a game of hide an seek?
okay does this help at all? It might be because I dont have enough memory?? I know it should take 8 freakin hours to burn 4 20minute episodes of a show.
