I need help with nero. I have finally figured out how to burn a dvd at least I thought so but know when I burn them on to a dvd a try to play it, it comes up as an mp3 in my dvd player. And what kind of file should I be usein e.g. avi, mov, mpg. please help
Sorry, I am a bit lost:~)! Can you refraze it, or explain more about what exactly are you doing? What files are you talking about?
okay. I can download a movie from mp3 rocket and I don't know what avi. ,mov., mpg. and so on mean. should i use a specific one? And I try to use nero to burn the movie it seems like evrything is burning fine but when i try to play it with my dvd player it doesn't work it shows up as a mp3.
I would download avi/divx, as I think it might be better quality.yhen you have to convert them to DVD format to play them in your DVD player(unless you have a player that supports avi). Did you burn the disc as a data disc maybe?
what is a dvd plug-in and do i need one. i don't think i made a data dvd. i move the file from shared to my documents the i go to nero and select recode and burn i don't know the full title. i then import the movie and pick the type of disk, then destination and the it does what it does and burns it. I'm i doing something wrong becaus eif you couldn't tell i don't know much about computers
This is what you should be doing with the avi files: http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/272946 When doing that, I wouldn't do a burn at once. Save the converted files first to HDD and then burn
If you are using Nero 5.5 you will need the dvd plugin. In Nero 6.6 (or later) the plugin has been intergraded into the progam and it does not need to be installed seprately. For an avi movie file, go to StartSmart, select video, then select make own dvd (will bring up Nero Vision). Go through the motions of adding chapters and creating menus, then tell it to burn.
