Everytime I launch xcopyplatinum v4.0.3.8 I get prompted to update to v4.5. and when I go ahead and update I get a "successful download" message but then a "dos" window opens up and the update did not take place. Anybody have any ideas on how to resolve this?

do not click on download as there is no 4500
some thing is wrong as that is not coming from international.com server.

platinum v5 is at version v5.0.0.13 as a seperate download and that was the last updae..

also use ye firewall to block the program from going to the net...........

I don't have that firewall, perhaps someone could chime in here to explain how to forbid that app from ever going out to the web with Nortons. However, I would presume that right clicking on Norton's firewall icon on the notification area of the taskbar, you might find something that says something about applications. Click on it and you should be able to tell Norton never allow access to the web for that app.

    HTH a little,

    Rich
