Anyone here familar with Video Advantage USB? With that software you get Cyberlink PowerDirector DE, PowerProducer Express, AudioSurgeon, AD FullCap and the Music/FX Library. I do like the cool things that you can do with titels and such. Unfortunately, I am new to this kind of stuff but wished I could find someone who knows how to use it. Reading the "read-me" files gets me lost. I was able to download a VHS to my PC. You guys suggested using my Nero to convert the .avi file to a DVD format. Looks like there would be a way to do that using the Video Advantage software too.

    thanks for all your suggestions.

    Hi Malibu81

I'm assuming you already ripped your avi to HD using AD FullCap ..
To make a dvd , open Power Producer Express , click on " produce movie disc " then select disc type " DVD" .. Select correct location , video quality depending on length of avi file ( movie ) .. Select Video Recording Format ( dvd) .. Select type of blank dvd a DVD5 ( 4700MB ) single layer ..( Disc Capacity ) click on next arrow at bottom
On IMPORT TAB , select Video Files , go to folder avi file were ripped to , double click on file . At bottom of screen , you will see amount of space files is taking up , keep amount to no higher than 4300 mb . If amount is higher , you'll have to go back and change the setting to a longer time ie: from 120 min to 180 min ..
Next click on the "next " arrow at bottom right , there you can set the chapters on the dvd .. I find it easier to select " set chapters evenly" and to enter the # of chapters you want . Once this is done , click on the box in r.hand corner of small screen , you should now see the chapters that were created on lower of screen . If ok , click green check mark lower right ..
Click on burn tab , label disc , select correct dvd burner and burn speed ( max 8x ) , check off " burn to disc" the hit "Burn" button , sit back and relax .. Voila done .. enjoy

    Hope this helps :)

Btw , didn't you get a manual with this software ??
