    Hi,

I've trawled through the archive here, but haven't found an answer to my problem, so here I go!

I'm using DVD Decrypter to rip in file mode and then using DVD2One to re-encode the movie. And finally Nero to burn to disc.

Anyway, somewhere along the line the film is being changed from widescreen (2.35:1 or 16:9) to pan & scan (4:3) ratio! Which is a royal pain in the ass since I have a widescreen TV.

I'm sure I used to be able to backup in widescreen and I can't for the life of me recall changing any options to do other wise, nor can I see any options to change it back to widescreen.

So, does anyone have any ideas?

For reference the version of DVD Decrypter is - 3.1.3.0, DVD2One is - 1.0.0.

    Thanks in advance.

First of all, why don't you use DVD2one 1.1.1 (or even 1.1.2).

    This is a weird problem.
I allways first copy the compressed files (after DVD2one) onto a DVD+rw. Then I put this one in my DVD-player (playstation 2). Watch all the chapters (forwards) and see if the quality is fine and if it palys fine and if it's all there to the end.
Then I copy it again onto a DVD+r. This way I will not have to throw away that much of discs.
    (coasters, coasters ...)

I suggest you rip this movie again.
I also watch the compressed files (after DVD2one) with PowerDVD. Yep I do a lot of testing before the actual (final) burning.

    No coasters so far.

I have the same problem using Version 1.11 and SmartRipper. Is there any posiblity to configure the output Ratio of the movie?

    Thanks
