I would like to thank all of you generous folks who post help for technically challenged people like me. I have not posted here but lurk frequently and have benefitted greatly from those who share their wisdom and woes. Every time I have had a problem with burning, authoring etc, I have found very detailed help here.

I also found a great new-2-me program in DVDFAB Platinum, again thanks to folks who have posted here. I have been using it now for a bit and have burned more than 40 movie back-ups (of just released movies, too!) without one failure. Well worth the price to register, $60.

Thanks again. I'm going back to my lurking corner to burn some more dvds.

Thanks, Binkie7. I appreciate the welcome and have always felt like I could post but have tried to follow the rules and search for answers first. I have never failed to find help for my problem by doing a search. I am not tech savvy so I don't know how much help I can offer but will post what I know when appropriate.

From my lurking I have gleaned that those who have the most success finding help are those who post detailed information about what they are trying to do, what they are using and exactly what happens when they do it. Perhaps someone should make a template for submitting problems? Something like:

    Overview of problem
    Software and versions used
    Hardware and brands used
    Media used
    Expected outcome
    Actual outcome
Attempts to solve and their results

Anyway, I appreciate the welcome and the great info people post here.
