I was trying to burn a copy of donnie darko. I have anydvd runnin in the background. I have donnie dark on my dvdrom drive and the blank dvd in the dvd burner. I went through the recode settings so it wud burn the main movie. I selected burn at once, advanced analysis, and high quality mode. I"m pretty sure I'm having the same issues as you do. "can't read file!" Read some of the responses I have gotten and maybe it will help. So far nothing I have tried has worked. DOn't bother calling Nero Tech support because the second you tell them you have Anydvd, they will refuse to help you and you will get a black mark on your name/account. SUCKS! Nero 6 worked with no issues and to make matters worse, my friend who has no interest in burning DVDs, has Nero 7 trial version and it works great!!!! Is there no justice!
here we go i think...I used dvd decrypter to rip the dvd to the hard drive first, and then I used nero recode to burn it to the dvd. Its burning now as im typing this, maybe it didn't wanna go from dvd rom drive to dvd burner...only thing im wondering, will i lose any quality?

IDE channels. For me, a burn takes between 10 to 6 minutes, depending on the speed and file size. I wonder how much more could be saved out of 5 min? Of course, if you don't have enough space on your HDD, maybe you would try a burn on the fly. I would advise to copy the files on HDD and then burn the DVD. But ,everyone has their preferences.
