I am probably going to get a computer with an AMD athlon 3200 skt 939 processor(64 bit), 1 gig ram, 200 gig hdd, [bold] GeForce 6600 gt 128 mb pci-e [/bold], Dual Layer 16x dvd burner, 17" LCD ( 8 ms refresh rate), keyboard and mouse and 2.1 speakers. All for $1350 aud.
I wanted to know if the graphics card is good or not and if its a good deal.

    Hello 2QU1CK

I can say that the graphics card isn't to bad. I have Geforce 6600gt 256mb 16x pci-e and it is perfect for doom 3.
The package price seems a little high, if you look around you could get a better package for that price, or build your own and have a maga PC at half the price....

if you build that your self you would save somewhere around 400 dollars. I have almost the same setup but with a 6200 and mine was around 600 for the tower. then my monioter was 250 for a 19" with a 8ms response time. so im into mine for around 900 for everything..

If you play FEAR or any other game on 1024x768 on medium settings, the 6600GT runs smooth as butter. If it will push FEAR on these setting it will push anything, trust me FEAR is a big time system hog.. The only time the 6600GT will take a backseat to high end cards is when you start turning up the resolution and turning on all the eye candy, other then that it's an excellent mid range card.
