What am I doing wrong???

I've finally got the program that allows me to burn my downloaded movies onto dvds. The only problem is when I play them in a dvd player...they stall or turn funny colors or there is chunks of the picture missing...what am I doing wrong...PLEASE HELP!!!!

 

Which progs are you using? & what speed do you write at?

 

Divxtodvd is the program I use. I think it burns at 8x

 

slow your burn speed to 4X make sure your using good quality media like sony or verbatim

 

DivxToDVD has now upgradedto a prog called ConvertX, if you already own DivxToDVD I believe you can update to the new prog, it also has a burn engine.
Slow your burn speed to 4X, use good media and stay away from Memorex as they cause problems during burning.
