I was trying to back-up this title using AnyDvD/Shrink & it gave me a ''Cyclic Redundancy Check'' error towards the end (92% complete). Nonetheless DVD Fab Decyrpter choked on it as well.

    - all help is welcome

This error normally indicates a dirty or scratched disc. Clean thoroughly and try again.

Gwendolin is right again. The movie was nothing special and should backup real easy! Also make sure you're using good media, no Memorex!

do yourself a flavor....... get yourself better media.... it doesn't cost too much more if any!!! and you'll get better results! at the very least you can mark off the media as your problem!!! try it... you'll like it!

Thats even cheaper. I guess I may have to burn at 2x? since I usually burn at 4x on 8x DVDs.

With these disks you can burn at the rated speed with no problems. My Plex overburns so I burn them at 8x and they come out flawless. Taiyo Yuden disks are one of the top media.
