    Hi there,

I feel like taking my dvd writer and chucking it out the window!!! I'm trying to burn ISO's using Nero 7 and its never given me a problem before but for the last 2days, it comes up with the same error!! The media i'm using is verbatim DVD-R 8x. I burn the iso's at 2.4 to be on the safe side, still the same problem. However, one thing i noticed is this error only occurs on ISO's that are less than 2 GB. Any help or advice from you experts would be greatly appreciated, before sumone gets hit on the head with my lovely sony dvd writer!!

Do you know your internal connections? Which of those 3 are raid? Are you sure the burner is not on a raid controler?

Pretty sure, anyway i tink i sussed the problem out, for some reason when i used to double click on the ISO and the burning process started, it was done in a cd-rom joliet format, no idea why, but now it says DVD image when it burns...fingers crossd, how do u know if it is on a RAID connection?

I see port 0 port 1 and port 2. That points to 3 ide ports. I then see
which is used for some ultra ata raid controlers. All 3 of those devices id 0 which points to master. So one of them has to be on ata or sata raid connector.

I am guesing you are most likely runing sata hdd. Just wanted to be sure the burner was not on a raid controler. I remember a while back a user had problems that came down to he had installed the burner on a raid controler thinking it was just another ide port.
