mscd001 is for the cdrom & toyotaman, you are an impatient individual as if seen questions answered days later while you want it right now. take it easy.
the floppy drive is removable,so you could replace with cd-rom.i boot up laptop with a floppy boot disk .it will boot from floppy .but when it askes to chose option i choose start windows without cd rom support .then it gives me the mscd001 is missing and then wont load windows.thanks for repling
Why dont yeah bring it to a pro? Yeah obviously need a external cd rom since yeah cant have both a floppy and cd rom in their same time.:>
anyway it aint giving that message anymore ....... what could i type in at the a:> if i type something there will it fire up it worked fine before with just the floppy drive in
do you have both the floppy drive & cd rom but can only use 1 at a time as both use same port. is that correct?
can you go into the bios to change the boot sequence so that the rom drive boots before the hd. also is your win98 cd bootable?
yes 98cd is bootable . desktop pc bios i know. i know how to get in bios but cant really set up to good i have laptop on the side of desktop iam in bios u think u could walk thru . that would be great
laptops are just as different as desktops. go thru laptop bios to see if can find something about boot sequence.
ok found one is it boot drive sequence or boot display .iam am used to desktop with set first boot device
try boot drive sequence & set to floppy, cdrom & hd in that order. could be using the enter button to bring up a menu that you change. could be using the + & - keys to change it. should tell you on lower right side of screen.
only could change to multibay 1 or 2 expansion base ,notebook or hard drive bay which order older laptop only 133mhz
