I have Nero 7.0.5.4 and use Recode to compress back-ups...I used to use Shrink. So far I've been very happy with Recode as it seems to do everything Shrink does, but faster, and the quality (at least to me) of the finished product looks better. But I can't seem to find anything in Recode to adjust quality settings. The only things I see are compression percentages and Advanced Analysis or Deep Analysis or whatever nero calls it. But Shrink had settings like max sharpness and max smoothness. Does recode have something like this, or do you simply adjust compression percentages and turn on extra analysis? Thanks in advance.
When you open Nero Recode, select what you want to do. Right click on more and then right click on profiles and you should end up with something like this, then make your selections
is the Recode version in Nero 6/6.6 the same as in Nero 7 even tho it looks different? Will I gain any improvement if i upgrade to Nero 7?
There isnt too many improvements in 7 so if you're happy with 6 then I would stivck to it and upgrade regularly. At the moment 7 is throwing up a lot of errors so stay with 6 for the moment
Thanks for the info...I figured these were the only settings in Recode....just wanted to make sure there was not something I was missing. Thanks again for clearing this up for me.
