Hey guys i'm having a bit of trouble with my dvd burner.I am no longer able to burn DVD's,everything keeps failing. I have the Sony DRu510A, I just went to the Sony Website to update the latest firmware,just updated the latest Nero 6 and last but not least I downloaded the drive check and that failed as well. So I ask for help once again from all of you fantastic folk out there,HELP.
Okay all i am in my device manager and the primary and secondary ide are doubled meaning that there is 2 of each should this be the case? Nad in all 4 the DMA is set as it should be. HELP?
post a log of your error.. cant do anything til you do.. and use good media (not saying that you are) no multi-tasking

Edit out your serial number Update to 6.6.1.4 These need to be on, go here for a guide http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/260038 You need at least 512meg RAM to be able to burn successfully, I suggest you install another 256meg, in the meantime shut down all unnecessary programs including spyware and dont multitask while burning You're burning too close to the edge of the disc, set target to 4300 these are horrible discs your burner doesnt like your media, try some Verbatim or Taiyo Yuden
