I got a new pc from dell recently and I am having problems burning dvd movies. The movies will freeze right up on my moms dvd player in 1 or 2 spots. On my dvd player they kinda freeze up and skip a second or two about 1-3 times a disc. I never had this problem with my old computer and dvd burner. Heres some info new burner: HL-DT-ST DVD+-RW GWA4164B D108 (ATA) old burner: LG forget model i think 4081B or 4082B media: RITEK G05 used by my new and old burners MXL RG02, MXL RG03 and LEADDATA01 used by my old burner i scanned some my old dvd's some were good some were bad but they never had this problem any feedback please
the riteks are the only good ones from that list.. see if you can rip them before they screw up.. only buy quality media.. check the dvd+/- media forum for sales.. got some good sales this weekend.
Hi there, I disagree, [bold]MXL RG03[/bold] are Maxell made in Japan are are classified as 1st class media. [bold]LeadData[/bold] on the other hand is 4th class media, now those are crap Ritek are considered 2nd class media http://www.digitalfaq.com/media/dvdmedia.htm My 2 cents worth

Hi there, You can't go wrong with Taiyo Yuden Media. To prevent playback issues, here's a little personal guide I wrote: http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/274131
