I have a Maxtor 200g OneTouch external firewire drive (G:) and I recently added a 120g in an enclosure capable of USB2/Fiewire. My problem is this: If I remove the second drive (M:) (through the safely remove hardware icon) and try to start it up again later, Windows denies access to the original firewire drive (G:) unless I reboot the machine and then everything works fine until I remove one. It also works fine with no conflicts whatsoever if the second drive is hooked up to USB2, but I prefer firewire. Any ideas??

it could be conflicting because the hard drives are of different brands, cant really think of a solution for this one except for the obvious, just put up with USB 2.0, theres no real difference in the speed of the 2 anyway
