Burning comes to a stand still

I have a Sony DRX-810UL dual layer dvd+-Rw/+-R and I'm using Nero. When i burn music or anything to a regular CDR it works fine, when I burn anything to a DVDR the percentage stops at a certain point in the Lead-In. If im burning say 4 gig to a 4.7 DVDR itll stop at about 2-4 percent and if im burning idk 50mb to a DVDR ittl stop at 50 or so percent relative to whtat im burning. Well idk why it suddenly stops, my Burner just keeps going with its fan on staying hot forever until i flip the power switch. Ive tried other programs so im pretty sure its the burner.

None have ended in a error message, it just stalls (with my burner still going) and I have to shut the burner off to stop it.

 

you need to address this, try this, uninstall Nero and re install, this time do not install INCD.

slow burn down to 4X

 

what brand of media are you using?

 

Hey I reinstalled my secondary Ide driver and reinstalled nero and turned burn speed to 4x and it's working fine now, idk which one of those did it but thanks.
