I Have a Jukebox Multimedia 20 that allows me to copy downloaded movies to it and view them on TV. It supports Divx and Xvid movies converted to mpeg4 simple profile by virtualdub. The Multimedia 20 allows for a maximum video size of 352X288 which can get a little blocky if you don't have a very good DVD rip but overall picture quality is not bad. A couple of questions I have is 1. does anyone on this board own one of these and what method do you use to get best quality playback 2. Archos is coming out with an upgraded model "120" that has a max res. of 640x368 and claim to be near DVD quality. Other than a faster processor they are virtually the same and I was wondering if anyone knows if the firmware for the "120" is compatible with the "20". Archos tech support is terrible and emails have gone unanswered. The Multimedia I bought has a 20Gb hard drive and plays and records MP3 music, Plays Divx video, has 1.3 megapixel camera, video recorder and compact flash and smartmedia reader for jpeg pictures. It figures that I buy one and they come out with a better one right after. Any info on this little gadget or how to get better video will be greatly appreciated.
