I am loading some DVD-Video files into Nero 6 to make a DVD, but Nero is telling me it needs the DVD-Video plugin. I have an OEM version of Nero 6. Is that why the plugin is missing? Any ideas where I download this plugin from? If it is something I need to pay for, I will probably just buy a full version of Nero 6 (if in fact that will solve the problem?). I am guessing I can find it cheap now since it is the old version now. Thanks
Its telling you that because OEM is designed normally for the operation of a CD burner ONLY. To use all the features of nero you must purchase the full version. Go to nero's website and and put in your Nero OEM serial number and you will get a discount on the full verison.
The Full Version, "Retail" of Nero 6 Ultra HAS the DVD Plug in(Decoder) When you buy it, update it to the next to last version. 6.6.0.18 for Nero Burning ROM, and Nero Vision Express, 3.1.0.21.I recommend do NOT update to Nero's Latest version, 6.6.1.4 It's "Buggy".
Yes, I figured that, but I am wondering if any of the less expensive versions would have the plugin too.
The plugin are not interchangeable unfortunatly but slysoft has a program called clone dvd its fairly inexpensive and from what I hear does a good job.
Wait a minute did your OEM verison of nero com with a CD or DVD burner if it came with a dvd burner it should already have the plug in.
Here is a free burning program never tried so use at your own risk. http://fileforum.betanews.com/detail/Sun_CD_DVD_Burner/1116533461/1
Also I hear this is a more reputable one (ImgBurn) and its free as well. http://www.mrbass.org/dvdburn/
I like Nero, want to stay with it. I am looking at finding Nero 6 on the web at a good price. Any suggestions? Thanks

Thanks for the lead, but that is the same OEM suite that I have now, missing the DVD-Video Plugin. I am looking now to find the retail version.
