Currently using DVD shrink, (with Any DVD in background) and retail copy of Nero 7 Ultra, when backing up dvd's using method above no problems, but once I have removed encryption and backup'd Dvd on 4.7GB disk I cannot make another copy of the recently backed up movie using Nero. Example make back up of Underworld, tried to make a copy from the backup copy dvd for brother and it keeps failing!!!

This media is absolute crap, it causes a lot of problems. Even though you were successful with 1, it's very hit and miss media. Try using another brand, Verbatim or Taiyo Yuden.

    This re inforces media problem.

It's strange, with this media the NEXT one you try may work but NO guarantee

I gather that you are stating that the media memorex and sony will not allow me to make successive copies from back-up'd copies of original movie discs, besides switching to verbatim is there any other problems that you have viewed in the error log saved??

I had the same problem until I figured out that is an option within Anydvd that was causing the problem. On the Feature Removal options in Anydvd make sure that you do not have the COPY PROTECTION BASED ON UNREADABLE SECTORS checked as this was the problem for me.Ever since I removed that option I have been able to make backups of backups.Hope this helps.
