Hello Guys, Great forum you have here.

Guys I apologize if this has been posted before, I did do a search but got a bit lost in the difference replies.

I have windows xp home with sp2 and use a super combo cd/dvd rw drive with Nero burning rom 6.

All was ok until a few days ago, before Nero would recognize different files like “ISO” and “Bin and Cue” files but now it does not recognize them, before it showed the little burning rom icon on the files above. The other problem is when I burn the files it says the burning was ok but when I put the cd back in to run the program or explore the disc nothing is there. I have tried the finished disc on another computer and its fine. Plus if I wipe a cd-rw using the full erase and then try to put data back on Nero says it needs a blank cd-rw?

I hope I have not been to confusing. Any ideas Guys?

First of all, you should delete the your serial number: it starts with 1A23*****
and appears several times in your log.
It seems to me that your installation of Nero got corrupted somehow.
Try to install th elatest version (there's a 6.6.1.4 update available) and see if this fixes it, otherwise I'd suggest a clean re-installation.

If th eburned CD works on other computers, there's something wrong either with your drive or with your software. The drive seems fine cause it burns correctly, that's why I'm inclined to think about software issues.
That would also explain why the two types of files are not recognized correctly now.

    Let us know ...
