Most of the errors recorded point to a media selection problem, to save time what brand of media are you using.

Sony and Verbatim are both good media, however this is what the errors indicate, media.
Your firmware probably needs updating but when I checked your burner details it came up with this as latest version

    Mon Dec 27, 2004 4:09 am NEC ND-3520A
    NEC ND-3520A - 3.04, 3.05, 3.06 / 1.F3 (Mad Dog OEM) / 3.40 (Freecom OEM)
Beta region free (RPC-1) firmware is available here. Patched by The Dangerous Brothers.
    RPC-2

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

    Edited

but I am reluctant to tell you to update. Suggest you go to NEC website and see what you can find for the NEC ND-3520A, your version is 1.04

Also while you're there do a check on NECs preferred media. Good luck.

Your burner's firmware is out of date, it should be version 3.06 according to the NEC website.
Here's a link, just enter the model# in the search field, click ok then click on 3.06 to download it. Follow the instruction for installation.

The recorder may not be liking the media your using, but the firmware update may fix this, if not try a better brand/different brand.

@johni123, Although his version of Nero is slightly behind I dont advise him to update as the latest offering from Nero is full of bugs.

He is already using good quality media, Sony and Verbatim, and a check of his firmware did indicate its outdated but I didnt recommend update as his version 1.04 is NOT even listed that is why I suggested a visit to NEC site.
As I said ALL the errors point to Media problem which should be fixed with firmware update, but I just want him to be sure of the CORRECT update. Cheers

    [bold]EDIT[/bold]

I see you have directed him to 6.6.0.18 which is bug free

I did goto to the NEC website and the correct update indicated for his drive on the site is 3.06. The update could fix the burn fail, adding greater media compatibility.

    EDIT: Here's a direct link.

@johnl123, yep thats fine I also confirmed that. When recommending the update of firmware one has to certain that it's the correct one as you have done.
I checked my source and his version wasn't even listed so I would say its WAY out of date, updating this I think should solve Media problems.

Also thanks for the link to Nero 6.6.0.18, it will come in handy until all the bugs are sorted.
