is there a differace between backing up to hd with decriptor or fab decriptor and using shrink/anydvd combo to back up to hd. whats your opinion...fors and against pls
Hi They will do the same... It's down to personal preference... What you are asking is one of the oldest questions here at AD... What software? My fors and cons might be different to others... What i like about one app might be the reason why another member doesn't use it... Big arguments comin this way then... DVD Decripter is brilliant, altough no longer updated, Shrink is alright but i prefer Nero Recode2. AnyDVD is the best app i have on my HDD. DVDfab is decent but i have better than that... That's a far as i'm willing to go on this argument... LOL
what i mean is if i use shrink will i get the full disk as is or will the hd version be smaller than that on the dvd it came off.
oh... LOL If you remove some of the contents like special features, extra sound files, subtitles etc, and reduce the quality of the video itself, yeah, it will be smaller... Aim for 4300Mb. Anything over that and the chances of producing a coaster are pretty big...
